the DOCK
Traditionally, a dock is a place where fishermen, sailors and ships come to find safe harbor. It is also a starting point, or a launching pad, for their next adventure. At FPC, we want the DOCK to be a place for students to find safe harbor from the challenges of being a teenager in the 21st century. We want them to find acceptance, love, grace and freedom to be themselves. At the same time, being a follower of Jesus has never included escape or isolation from real life or current culture. Instead, following Jesus is joining a revolutionary movement of choosing to be different. As a student ministry, we will seek to become an inclusive, spirit-filled community that serves the people around us and shares the love, grace and peace of Christ in a relevant way.
First Presbyterian welcomes Ben Ledbetter, our new Youth Director!
Our Values
Rest: Be Yourself
We will be a safe place where we can be who God has uniquely created us to be.
Refuel: Feed on God’s Word
We will be faithful students of the Bible.
Refine: Be Holy as He is Holy
We will continually seek to be open to the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Go: Be Servants & Make Disciples
We will be willing and humble servants seeking to make disciples wherever we go.
